The problem
Home caterers and small food businesses must keep daily food-safety records, but most do it on paper or not at all - then panic before an unannounced hygiene inspection that produces a public rating.
What we built
A simple app to log temperatures, cleaning, allergens, suppliers and the 4-weekly review, with a print-ready inspection report. Free tier, Pro for unlimited history and reminders.
Stack: Cloudflare Workers + D1, Stripe, Resend, static SPA - near-zero infrastructure cost.
The outcome
Validated the core insight that became a repeatable playbook: a legal record-keeping obligation + a public inspection rating = willingness to pay. Every later product is a variation on this template.
